My students are busy learning about the many different art forms that make up theatre arts! Third grade is learning both how to write dialogue and flamenco dancing, a theatrical style of dance from Spain that they plan to share at the multicultural festival this spring. Fourth grade is working on acting skills and at Latham they are preparing for the SPRING MUSICAL!!
Fifth grade is focused on theatre design, and they are responsible for designing and constructing the costumes for the spring musical. I am so proud of all of my students!
Last month, the students helped me organize a donation drive for victims of the Haiti earthquake. They are currently collecting donations for those in Chile who are suffering from their own natural disaster. Diggs- Latham students know how to be Friends to the World!Our Latin Dance club, the Cha-cha Club, is preparing a piece for the Multicultural Fair, as well! We are so excited about all of these projects.
